Shoes...Simply put - My best friend, your best friend, every girls best friend.
Aldo is our friend for high-street shoes, I've become a clever shopper with Aldo though - try not to buy at full price and stalk till it's half price or less. Pay attention ladies...

I bought three pairs of shoes in the sale from Aldo. Two of the same style in different colours of Navy and Black Suede - this being the 'Gyal' style shoe, rounded almond toe with a handy ankle strap and a nice heel height. Comfortable, supportive shoe and easy to walk in thanks to the strap! I adore heels with a dainty and thin strap for that elegant look. These to me are like princess shoes as the style is so royal (think Kate Middleton).
The White stiletto pair is 'Fravel', simple understated and easy shoe to slip on for a minimal style and effortless look. I like the skinny heel on these and just see myself wearing them casually with skinny jeans. While Aldo noted the description of the shoe appearance as patent I have to disagree as these look more matte to me than shiny and I'm actually glad they are like this.
I'm quite pleased with all three pairs, I'll be completely honest and tell you the 'Gyal' style in Navy I would and did pay full price for because it's a smart, classy and a sophisticated shoe. However a few days after I purchased it at full price it went in the sale, and as I only wore them around the house on carpet and I needed a smaller size I returned them for the full price I paid (original receipt in hand) and managed to re-purchase them at the sale price. I then also added the black pair - after all I was getting two-for-the-price-of-one now and both colours look beautiful in their own right!
The white pair I would never even dream of paying £70.00 for, while they are nice, they are simple and quite boring. Now don't get me wrong a simple white stiletto is classic and I'll part with good money for a sexy pair of shoes but these aren't like exactly spectacular looking for a £70.00 price tag. They'll spruce up my outfit of skinny jeans and a mac coat for on the go but that's it. I was lucky enough to actually snag these online for £17.54 which is why I didn't pass on them considering their original value. Justified enough I think! The weird thing is though when I searched for these online again the price has gone up to £34.98 - I don't know if I got super lucky and Aldo online made a price mistake with their listing - but I'm not complaining!

I've linked all the shoes in the post as they are still available to purchase online, I have spotted them in stock at various stores around London. On the US website they're available too and OMG the 'Gyal' style is available in grey!! I love grey wish I could have grey!! But the UK didn't get grey just as the US didn't get Navy I think. Oh well you win some, you lose some!
Has anyone else hauled at the Aldo sale?
